Why Your SEO Strategy Fails (And How to Fix It)

Most SEO failures come from three mistakes: targeting the wrong keywords, ignoring user intent, and neglecting technical health.

I've reviewed over 50 SEO strategies this year, and the same three mistakes keep appearing. Fix these, and your traffic will grow.

Mistake #1: Chasing high-volume keywords. Everyone wants to rank for 'insurance' or 'shoes,' but unless you're a giant, you'll waste months on page 10. Instead, target long-tail phrases with clear intent — like 'best running shoes for flat feet' — which convert better.

Mistake #2: Ignoring user intent. You wrote a 2,000-word guide on 'how to clean suede shoes,' but the user who searched that wants a quick answer. They bounce, and Google notices. Match content format to intent: how-to = step-by-step, best-of = listicle, product = comparison.

Mistake #3: Neglecting technical SEO. I see sites with beautiful content but slow load times, broken mobile menus, and no sitemap. Google won't rank a site that fails Core Web Vitals. Use tools like PageSpeed Insights and fix the top three issues first.

Start with these fixes, and you'll see results in 4-6 weeks. Our templates can help automate the process — but the strategy is on you.
